Golden Paws Grooming Academy is a friendly and welcoming teaching environment based in Stonehouse, Stroud, for those wishing to learn the art of Dog Grooming.
The Academy is owned and run by Natasha Anderson and Carol Hutchins the partnership who own and run The Lady and the Tramp Grooming Salon and Spa which is a byword for the very best in dog grooming. We have a passion for what we do and provide a premier service for our clients both two and four legged alike.
The Lady and the Tramp Grooming Salon & Spa celebrated 25 years in business in September 2015 giving us a wealth of experience as professional groomers. Throughout the time we have been in business we have continued to update our own knowledge and learning to ensure that our service remains the very best. We strongly believe that we are always learning and also that the knowledge we have accumulated is a gift to be shared. Over the years, we are proud to have trained a number of now professional dog groomers and to have fulfilled our goal of helping produce quality groomers who share our aim of promoting excellence in the industry.
The Academy is led by Natasha Anderson who learnt her own trade working in the salon and has gone on to consolidate her experience by achieving the level three City and Guilds Professional Diploma Qualification in Dog Grooming and the level three City & Guilds Diploma in Teaching and Education, and now adding to that with the ICMG UK (International Certified Master Groomers).
GOLDEN PAWS GROOMING ACADEMY GLOUCESTERSHIRE
The Acaedmy has run alongside the salon business for many years and aims to share our skills, learning and passion with other like-minded people. We are pleased to now be an accredited teaching school under the flag of ICMG UK and are able to offer a range of courses in dog grooming.
The Academy only takes a maximum of four students at any one time, dependent on learning ability. We believe in achieving quality in all that we do and want our students to have the time and instruction needed to achieve our own high standards.
All students considering a course with us are requested to attend a Taster Day (a charge applies but this is deducted from the final costs of any course booked) to ensure that they are comfortable with the learning environment, to experience the reality of working in a professional grooming salon and to ensure that dog grooming and Golden Paws Grooming Academy is right for them as an individual.
We are clear that although our tuition will provide a student with the knowledge & skills needed for each course, ongoing practice of the art is essential to progress. In certain circumstances, we are able to offer our students ‘work experience’ placements and we are always available for advice to anyone who has completed a course with us.
